چکیده
The Lesti sub-watershed area is mostly steep mountain slopes, when the rain fall it carries erosion and sediment material. This study aims to discover trend of land-use changes; measure amount rate Erosion Hazard Levels; obtain sediment-transport actual quantity based on SWAT application; scatter land critical-level; determine strategy for implementing conservation controlling rates. Level were obtained as follows: Class I 11.92%; II 27.45%; III 43.85%; IV 13.06%; V 3.99%. Four (4) parameters overlaid criticality level are: coverage, slope, risk level, management aspect. Generally, Sub-Watershed categorized as: very critical 0.14%; 4.61%; a rather 28.06%; potential 53.66%; normal 13.51%. From analysis average value respectively soil 119.60 tons/ha/year; yields 310.77 rainfall 2143.27 mm/year; surface runoff 1120.65 mm/year. suggestions watershed conservancy requires vegetative (planting) mechanical (building) method. method such alleys cropping; reforestation; agroforestry; relay cover cropping natural green manure; living fence; mixed farm; mulch; environment greening; strip with 20.65% effectivity; filter 26.03% effectivity. contour tillage 29.71% terracing 23.41% check dam 17.50% mound.

Investigation of the Effects of Land use Change on Flooding and Sedimentation In Honifaqan Watershed
In a natural ecosystem, land exploitation and change in environmental conditions, particularly changes in vegetation and land use effects on hydrological responses such as floods and erosion and sediment and ultimately causing heavy social-economic losses. Then, prediction of effect of land use changes on flood situation in the future decades and sedimentation of watersheds will be the way to d...
متن کاملWatershed conservation prioritization using geomorphometric and land use-land cover parameters
Geomorphometric features and land use/land cover are essential in the context of watershed prioritization for resources conservation and protection. Watersheds in tropical regions like the Philippines are under threat of degradation due to the combined effects of uncontrolled agricultural activities in the uplands and frequently increasing erosive precipitations brought about by climate change....
متن کاملArticle 28: Basic Concepts in Watershed Planning
When developing a watershed plan, it is useful to consider how watersheds are configured. The term management unit is used to describe watersheds and their smaller segments. The two management units that will be focused upon in this handbook are the watershed and the subwatershed. A watershed can be defined as the land area that contributes runoff to a particular point along a waterway. A typic...
متن کاملGIS based land use planning and watershed monitoring as tools for sustainable development
The development of GIS based methodologies supports a program for monitoring the territorial dynamics that are occurring in the Estorãos rural watershed (NW Portugal). GIS integrates spatial databases from different research and development projects, with the purpose of understanding: (i) the relationships between land use processes and changes, and environmental management policies; (ii) the e...
متن کاملGeneralized maps for erosion and sedimentation simulation
We propose a new approach, based on dynamic animation, to simulate geomorphological events such as erosion, sediment transportation and deposition. It relies on a generalized map representation of different geological layers. The topological evolution of these layers is driven by a set of displacements applied onto the vertices. The topological consistency of the model is guaranteed by a collis...
